馬來婚禮 Malay wedding

2016年7月31日星期天，我參加了馬來朋友A小姐的婚禮。這是我人生中第三次參加馬來同胞的婚禮，基本上我也大概了解了馬來同胞的婚禮是如何進行的了，但我寫這一篇blog是因爲這一次A小姐的婚禮就有一點不一樣……

I attended my Malay friend Miss A’s wedding on 31 July 2016 (Sunday). This is my third time attending Malay’s wedding. Actually I do know how Malays run their wedding, but this wedding a little bit different for me… This is the purpose that I write this blog. 

中午11時45分，我到達了婚宴場地——Dorsett Grand Subang Hotel。我進入了酒店後，給了我與之前去的馬來婚宴第一個不同的地方——它猶如華人婚宴般，根據人分好了桌位、在會場門前有櫃檯點名，加上大廳中有一個很漂亮的冰雕裝飾。

I arrived Dorsett Grand Subang Hotel at 11.45 am. The first difference that I found was – it is similar w Chinese wedding, all guests were arranged to particular tables, the reception counter was set up in front of the hall, and there was a beautiful ice sculpture at the entrance.

朋友們來了後，我們就進入了會場，到了自己的桌位坐了下來。這個會場特別大，而且裏面也擺了約67桌的桌子，有表演舞臺，和馬來婚禮的舞臺，而且場地設計也很堂皇。

When my friends arrived, we gathered and went into the hall. The hall is very large. There were about 67 tables , and a Malays' style wedding stage. The design is GRAND.

婚禮開始了，敲鑼打鼓什麽的，還是念經祝福，當然都有做，我就不一一細説了。接著就是新郎新娘和家人入席就座，然後就是上菜（應該）！一個女人，坐在轎子上，由四個男人擡她進入會場把一盤小菜（應該）端給了新郎和新娘。過後就輪到我們開菜了。

The wedding started. Some ceremonies like drums beat, wedding pray etc. were done (I think no need to write how was this wedding ceremony going). Next, the bride and bridegroom walked forward their dinning seat (with their parents), and the meal was served (maybe?). There was a woman sit on a sedan, who was carried by four men moving into the hall with a small plate of food (maybe?). The woman passed the plate to the bride and bridegroom. After that , we enjoyed our meal.

豐富的美食，最後是甜品和茶或咖啡，吃得我撐死了。其中我們還厚著臉皮去和新娘拍照，因爲有位朋友要提早離去，所以就在新郎新娘吃著飯的時候我們幾位就拍了合照……

I was very full with the delicious food including dessert,  tea or coffee. At that time, we took photo with the bridegroom because one of my friends had to leave earlier. Thus, we took photos while bride and bridegroom were eating…

就這樣，這個對我來説比較特別的馬來婚宴，就在中午3時結束了。

This Malay’s wedding ended at 3pm.
